Leaders from NKC Health, UC San Diego Health, and MIT Health take the Noteworthy mainstage to share how they built successful Builder programs inside their organizations, and what other health systems can learn from them.

Noteworthy brings together health system leaders who are changing how care gets delivered. This year, one mainstage session focuses on a growing group of organizations that are building new, innovative capabilities themselves instead of waiting for them to arrive from outside.
On Tuesday, October 20 at 2:00 p.m., three of those leaders will join the panel "The Builder Advantage: How Leading Health Systems Innovate from Within":
Each has helped their organization build a Builder motion with Notable's Platform, giving internal teams the skills and support to design, launch, and scale their own automation and AI.
A few people can start an innovation program, but it only scales when the whole organization has the skills and support to build. Dr. Beardman learned that firsthand. When we asked about his biggest takeaway from Noteworthy 2025, he said:
"Being aggressive about getting additional Builders trained."
He left last year's event convinced that growing a group of Builders quickly is one of the strongest levers a health system has. It's a theme that comes up at NKC Health, UC San Diego Health, and MIT Health alike, though each organization has taken its own path.
The panelists will cover what it takes to build a successful Builder motion at every stage, from choosing the right people and use cases to setting up support and scaling across the organization. They'll share how their programs came together, what worked, and what they'd do differently if they were starting again.
They'll also cover the building blocks every program needs:
The panel will also follow a real deployment from identification to scale, so attendees can see how the pieces fit together in practice and leave with lessons they can apply at their own organizations.
For Dr. Beardman, that exchange is a big part of Noteworthy's value. When asked what he's most excited about this year, he said:
"Networking and seeing what other health systems are pursuing for automation and innovation."
Whether your organization is just starting a Builder motion or looking to scale one, this session is a practical look at how three leading health systems innovate from within. It's also a chance to connect with the people shaping what's next in healthcare automation.
